Crossbowmen are listed as having chain mail, but on the Troop Characteristic Summary table, they’re listed as having an AC of 2. Is this a typo, or do crossbowmen suffer from a terrible dexterity?

On the same table, I also noticed that heavy infantry with a polearm are listed as having the same AC as heavy infantry using their sword/spear. Since the latter would be using a shield to get AC 6, shouldn’t the polearm users have an AC of 5?
