OOC Discussion

Sorry, I’m a bit slow posting at the moment, but I’ve been sick as a dog the last couple of days. I’ll still be posting yet today.

Sorry to hear that Bobloblah. Hope you’re better soon.

I’m finding some tension between making every post meaningful but still posting once a day. In face to face games, when someone makes a play, sometimes I just wait to see how it works out. But I’m still following along, and I’ll look for an opportunity to make some trouble.

No problem thus far. And sorry to Aryxymaraki for posting the result of the Detect Evil in the Inn-Character thread! That should've been a PM in case you wanted Kerrick to keep it to himself.

Not a problem, I was planning to share it later anyway.

I’m a paladin, not an anti-paladin, I’m not going to lie about it for an excuse to burn the temple down :stuck_out_tongue:

Just a reminder: for the moment, Lucasdelsur, Hardrada, and thirdkingdom (who I haven’t seen in a while) should be Replying to Post #139. koewn, Alex, Aryxymaraki, Dave R, and Lamech (who also appears to have vaporised) should be Replying to Post #128.

I’m guessing that if there are no other questions, Andrew, Kerrick, Masov, Aria, and Hengist are going to leave the temple? If so, what’s your next move?

Same question for those of you at the Inn: what’s your next move? Pay and eat? Run off?

EDIT: Oh, and sorry again for the slow posting, as I’ve been really under the weather the last few days, but I’m on the mend now.

Unless someone else has a different plan, Kerrick would want to leave, rejoin the others, and share information learned.

Sounds good.

Okay, I just moved the In-Character thread to the Older Threads sub-forum, and I’ll be posting a new In-Character thread to move us forward. The party will be meeting up and exchanging information, so consider a plan to move forward.

information echange sound good

Seeing as the thread has remained open for everyone to see, we can just assume this takes place. The question is now: what to do?

Can we get the rest of the party weigh in on a next move?

Stay in town? Leave and head elsewhere, leaving Orlean to its fate? Approach the Constable about “mercenary work” or something else? Raid the Temple? Stake out the inn? Check the abandoned buildings? Find the “Baron’s elves”? Stake out the town overnight? Talk to those the Baron no longer trusts? Speak to someone else? Something else I haven’t thought of?

Work is shitting down my neck and I will post when I can. Otherwise, I have already made a proposal that we find something else to do. Miska will go along with the group, but he would prefer to do something else (specifically, going after the goblins).

I think we should go after the goblins. If there are bad things afoot in the town, it’s not clear what they are. Let’s go deal with more imminent threats, then return.

I am still keen to check out the other Inn. Gwydion is still starving, and we may find it a better place to gain information.

We’ll see what the last couple replies are, and then I’ll take it from there.

That must really leave a bad taste in your mouth. The posting is fine so far. I’ll poke you if it’s a problem.

Sorry about my slowness, I posted!

Overall, Kerrick will go with the group, but he’d rather finish this job than leave it undone after stirring everything up.

So I think we’ve got a couple lead ins to the elves perhaps? (They mostly come out at night. Mostly.) I don’t think we have any information on how often people disappear or come back, however, or if it happens in the town proper?

I’m considering some sort of half-baked plan where we dress up the bladedancer as an old woman and see if we can trick them into trying to kidnap her or whatever’s going on.

If we can hit an eatery and get some info that makes any course of action besides burning it all down plausible, that’d be worthwhile.

Edit: or, now that I’ve caught up on IC, some variation of the stakeout plan as proposed by Kerrick.

Since we’re here now, I’d rather follow up a few more leads. We haven’t done anything yet except ask a couple of npcs what’s up.

But goblins was my first choice, so I’ll be good with that when the time comes.
