Your horse has definitely broken a sweat; as we determined, Kerrick is no lightweight!
The torch lies on the ground beside the gate in the town's palisade. You are heading south towards that gate now. The cloaked individual that had been bearing the torch is not immediately visible, even as you glance sidelong at the street ahead.
I was waiting for Kerrick, Masov, and Gwydion...what are they doing this round? The black clad man appears dead, there is a climber who has fallen getting to its feet beside the inn, and the torchbearer has seemingly just moved out the gate a few seconds ago (not long enough to outpace a horse), dropping a torch while doing so.
Dont worry, they are dead and now we can loot. by the way i keep the idea that we sell al magic items at the end of this mision, save maybe for +1 weapons. 5% more AC vs getting to level 2 faster dosnt seem like a good deal to me.
I think I misremembered what Hengist was doing when I did that last map and post; I had him move towards the other bodies, but I believe he was going to lean against the nearest wall. To be clear, Hengist currently feels injured, but only a little worse than before. Let me know if you want him somewhere else.
I follow the logic, and xp would be nice... But I also don't want to declare armor off limits after picking up Order.* So I'll await other input.
*Which, by the way, I'm still open to having an OOC discussion about where that goes, but IC I picked it up before I even knew it was magical as I lacked a sword, so Hengist's plan now is to carry it around until someone says something.
I finally subtracted the thrown darts and added the metal flask and purloined silver (from the carpenter's house) to my character sheet. Note that I intend the silver to be distributed amongst survivors... if there are survivors. Gwydion is not terribly concerned about human civilization (Law) but he fancies himself honest and honorable (after Elven fashion).
Questions:
- Who is taking the glassware flask?
- Who took the carved box?
- Did someone write down the bundle of furs (worth 500 gp) on their character sheet?
- From Bobloblah's response, I believe he explained that the leather is magical but that the shortsword is mundane.
- For Bobloblah, any chance the pig guys were speaking in Orc (or Gnoll or Hobgoblin)?
- Dave R, can Gwydion look at Order next time he and Hengist are near one another? This, of course, assumes that you're not about to die, in which case Gwydion will look at Order after he loots Hengist's body. :)
