I thought that, in this setting, when dwarves died that they turned to stone. Yet, on level 3B, room #13, there's a description of murdered dwarves and their equipment. It reads as if the bodies are still flesh and not stone, as indicated by the description of their equipment. Am i missing something?
I played it as only their formerly flesh and blood bodies turn to stone. The equipment on them remains unchanged.
The way I ruled it was the same. The equipment did not turn to stone. However, sometimes that meant that you had to break the stone to get some of the equipment ( e.g. have to chipmaway or take off a few fingers if the dwarf was holding something).
Just another puzzle for the PCs to figure out.
