Wetlands?

Are there any Demand modifiers for wetlands like Swamp or Marsh?

Anyone have any clues? …

you might have to piece it together from disparate qualities. A swamp or marsh is likely wet ground with low elevation. being a fairly rotten geographer, I would guess the water source is river, the climate would be rainforest (very wet, lots of vegetation), and the elevation would be plains.

I didn’t include the various types of wetland because I didn’t think there’d be many settlements in them. Try the following.

There are four basic types of wetlands: swamps, marshes, bogs, and fens.

  1. Swamps are wet forests. Apply the DM for Plains combined with either Lake Shore or Riverbank (whichever is closer to the swamp) and either Rainforest, Deciduous Forest, or Taiga (depending on latitude).
  2. Marshes are wet grasslands. Apply the DM for Plains combined with either Lake Shore or Riverbank and either Steppe, Grasslands, or Tundra.
  3. Fens and bogs are (more or less) wet shrublands. Apply the DM for Plains combined with either Lake Shore or Riverbank and either Savanna, Scrub, or Tundra.

That should produce “good enough” results.
