Blood drain and mortal wounds

One of my favorite aspects of ACKS is the mortal wounds table it's very warhammer-esque. I'd been working on different variation throughout the years im y d&d games but ACKS has nailed it well. Has anyone reconciled using this table with creatures that drain blood, stirges, vampires, etc.. With 0 HP not neccesarily meaning you're immediately dead as you roll on the mortal wounds table. Does anyone here incorporate that table some how? How do you handle blood loss?

Generally, I only call for a Mortal Wounds roll when a character’s Wounds are treated so I don’t see any inconsistency. Blood drain keeps lowering the target’s HP into the negatives until the patient is stabilised. I also probably wouldn’t let a drained character be treated until they are no longer being drained.
