Based off of the blog post at http://initiativeone.blogspot.com/2013/08/bashing-doors-open-and-other-play-notes.html, and the ensuing comments, I devised the following house rule for forcing open doors:

I like the idea that a “failed” roll results in the door still opening, but with consequences. This way you avoid bogging the game down with strings of unsuccessful rolls. I could see modifying a result of 1 to mean that the door will not budge and must be battered down or dealt with in some other manner.
Are there rules consequences that I’m not considering by using such a system?
